the Earthology global environmental artist network!
Earthology
was founded on Earth Day, 1991. Earthology is a national network
of over a thousand environmental musicians, visual artists,
writers, and performance artists, whose goal is to use art
and entertainment, coupled with environmental education, as
a tool for inspiring and motivating citizens to become involved
in the environmental movement.
Earthology's
mission is to educate citizens about environmental issues
in a palatable and entertaining format. Outside the circles
of pure academia and the legislative sect this method has
been shown to be highly effective in having environmental
education be assimilated by citizens, as it leaves an impression
on both their intellect, and their emotions. Once a concerned
citizen is holistically captivated by an environmental issue,
it becomes much more likely that they will become active as
either volunteers or financial donors. The mission is to blend
environmental education with music and art to inspire and
mobilize citizens to protect their environment. Earthology
also serves as a working model of environmental sustainability
for the music industry to emulate. Contact us to become a
part of the netowrk. We will contact you when Earthology tours
are rolling thorugh your area. We are currently branching
our operations into the realms of books, videos and graphic
visuals, so the time to take part is now.
In
addition to the recording studio, Earthology also organizes
environmental festivals and tours nationwide. These events
have been referred to these as "mini Woodstocks on wheels".
The events consist of great live music with multi-media, performance
art, an environmental artist gallery and tabling from local
environmental organizations. If you are a musician/artist/performer/dancer
and have environmental/social pieces, please consider joining
our international network of people just like you. We will
send you invitations to display your work/ perform when an
Earthology festival is near you. Our growing database of worldwide
artists, writers and musicians will be available on this website
soon!
